Your wall hook comes supplied with a Wall Mate and installation instructions. When correctly installed, your wall hook is proven to hold up to 10kg. We recommend the hook be installed by an adult and to use common sense as to what it will hold.
The amount of weight our hooks can hold is related to the material into which the hook is installed.
The hook uses a 10G screw embedded in timber dowel. When installed into a pre-drilled stud the hook can support up to 10kg.
If installing directly into plasterboard the included wallmate can be used however the weight is dependent on the strength of the plasterboard - this will be the possible point of failure not the hook itself.
Only light items would be suggested for plasterboard installations (eg hats, light decorations etc).
Our preferred method of installation is into a wall stud for better results.
